Samuel Beckett Bridge

WORKSHOP BRIEF:
This workshop is designed for people who struggle with using their camera and putting on the correct settings to achieve the image they want to get. If you're an advanced user, you can still come along, but just have in mind that its intended for beginners only.

With that out of the way, our workshop will consist of 2 parts.
Planning of the shoot, theory behind the camera settings and the shoot of the bridge.

I will go through my process of planning a shoot, time and location, weather prediction and setting a vision on what I want to achieve.
With that out of the way, we will go through different locations, finding good vantage points that have high visual impact and good composition.

We will meetup at golden hour and go through a short debrief of the shoot and continue our way into the blue hour shooting the bridge from different locations and vantage points.

I will be available throughout the 2 hour period to assist with any questions or help you get the best shot, this workshop will be stress-free and relaxing.

LOCATION:

We will meet right outside the Ferryman Pub, Dublin - Facing Riverside
Address: 35 Sir John Rogerson's Quay, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin
GPS Locations: 53.346148, -6.240653

TIME KEEPING:

Meetup Start: 19:45
Golden Hour: 20:12 ** Sunset 21:03 ** Blue Hour: 21:26
Meetup Finish Time: 22:00

***Requirements for Workshop:

  • Required Equipment: DSLR or Mirrorless Camera. (you can bring a point and shoot camera or a mobile phone, but this workshop is really intended for their bigger brothers and sisters)

  • Lens Suggestion: I never limit myself to a specific focal length, but to make this as standard as possible, bring a lens that goes as close to or covers a range from 20mm to 70mm. We will not be using anything above 70mm in this workshop.

  • Other Equipment: a sturdy tripod and an optional remote camera trigger

  • Clothing: Wear comfortable clothes and good shoes for walking, I suggest to be prepared for the worst and dress warm and appropriately for exploration (Its Ireland, could rain at any moment)

If you have any questions, best way to get a hold of me is via WhatsApp 0872230592.

***Disclaimer
Please note that I cannot influence the weather or conditions we can shoot in, the workshop will only go ahead in safe working conditions.
I will monitor the weather and post updates the week before to let everyone know what to expect.

Regards
Evan
