Portrait Photography Dublin

Been dying to share this post from our trip to Skerries last weekend.
In recent months I have decided to push for more outdoor portraits to change up the mood a little bit, seeing as the weather (bar the snow) has been pretty good, most of the shoots arranged have been outdoors.

As long as its not raining or is not very windy, we can achieve some fabulous portraits as showcased below, I have been busy scouting possible locations to fields, beaches, parks and forest for possible interesting backgrounds.

Here is the first example taken only last weekend.

Since the start of April yellow sunny rapeseed fields have attracted my eye and I have been looking for the opportunity to get out and shoot some beautiful summer portraits. Unfortunately when the opportunity came up, we were kicked with a dreadful overcast sunset. Rather than rescheduling and re-doing make up and wasting more time, I decided to throw a flash behind the model and put an orange filter onto the flash to add a glowing summer feeling to this portrait.

This managed to turn out wonderful, the flash behind the model simulating a nice yellow flow and lighting up the rapeseed turning them from a dark yellow to a lovely saturated summer yellow.

Model: Catherine Quigley
