Poolbeg - Unbelievable Sunset by the Great South Wall Walk

Expect the unexpected and always be ready for the perfect moment.

The Great South Wall Walk.

Possibly on of Dublin hidden little secrets. It's a little out of the city centre, and you have to venture through a huge industrial park (that may not feel the safest, even though I never had any bother), but the walk to it is definitely worth it for what you're about to see.

I would possibly mark it as the best place to watch sunrise or sunset in Dublin.
It has a clear and unobstructed view to the sea, the path walk and the iconing poolbeg towers to help you navigate, its not a loop, but a one way path to the lighthouse and back to the car park.

I would normally plan most of my trip, spend weeks monitoring weather websites to see if the evening is gonna be the one worth leaving the apartment for, this little trip, was just a get out and go.  Myself, Catherine and Cooper just decided to get out of the apartment and head out for a lovely evening walk. I don't think I checked the weather or anything, we just got up and went for walk, and sometimes the best moments happen when you least expect it.

My number one rule is always to have my camera with me, while the phone can capture some amazing photos these days, it cannot come close to the quality of a DSLR. Especially in low light conditions or if you want to print them to be big for your living room.

Most of my planning for for landscapes would be planned using THE PHOTOGRAPHER'S EPHEMERIS® and weather website YR.no .
Combination of just the two of these tools allows me to predict what is going to happen on the evening, what the evening will look like and where is the sun going to be. I will possible do a detailed post on these at some point in the future, but for now, I would advise looking into them.
