Dance Floor antics on the Hodson Bay Hotel Dancefloor in County Roscommon

Dance Floor antics on the Hodson Bay Hotel Dancefloor in County Roscommon

It’s a Monday night, no better night than sharing a few beautiful wedding photos taken of a newly married couple. Ciara and James Quigley.

It’s hard to get beautiful dance floor pictures as the light falls and the light available to shoot can sometimes be challenging, but with some persistence and great knowledge of your camera equipment, you can capture some truly amazing details of people’s smiles, joy and happiness during the wedding night. At this point the wedding is well under way, the stressful wedding speeches are over and the dancing and celebrations begin.

The first dance

Most of the time as a photographer, you try to make a shot as opposed to capturing events as time flows by. The first dance is not one of those moments that you can stage. I was lucky to have my camera ready and capture this rare shot of bride looking back at their mother and father during their first dance.

Final Delivered Wedding Album. I’d you’d be surprised how much fun it is to make one.
These days we post pictures to social media without consideration of the meaning of the pictures and why we event took them. A single picture struggles to create the emotional impact that a wedding album creates.
Taking a blank canvas and creating a story that brings tears of joy to the family of bride and groom. Watching them slowly relive their day all over again is just priceless and brings joy to my heart.
