Journey to Lugnaquilla

A short post from our trip to Lugnaquilla.  I'm setting a theme here, another moody and mysterious shot from our hike to Lugnaquilla a month ago with Catherine, Adam, Jurena and Irina.

This shot was taken a moment before it started raining. Luckily it stopped fairly soon as there's nothing more miserable to hike during a rainy and windy day as it was that day. Lugnaquilla is the tallest mountain in the Wicklow mountain range and the 2nd highest peak in Ireland going all the way up to 925 meters.

The Valley on the way to Lugnaquilla, Lugnaquilla on the right and Convalla on the left and river Avonbeg in the middle.

It is definitely a though climb up and worth the sweat as you get some beautiful views of the valley as in this shot.

If your interested in this hike. Your starting point is Baravore Car Park on Google Maps, it's not too far from Glenmalure Lodge and you can grab a bite to eat in the pub afterwards.

If you wish to find a mapped out route to this, click on the link to my route.

So find yourself some good company and get out there!!
